History
Opened in 1987. Initially, a 1BBL plant was used, this has been upgraded to a 4BBL plant. The beers are also seen under the name Finch's. In March 2008, the brewing side of Goldfinch and the management of the pub was taken over by Dorset Brewing Company Ltd and soon after brewing of the Goldfinch brands was transferred to Weymouth.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
