History
First brewed in September 2013. A 6BBL plant supplied by PBC Brewery Installations Ltd is used. Initially, beers were sold under the name James Street Brewery but the use of that name soon finished. The pub is part of a chain that includes the following brewpubs Cambridge Brewhouse, Essex Street Brewing Company, King Street Brew House, London Road Brew House, St Andrews Brewery and The Turk's Head.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
