History
Dave Porter started brewing in March 1994 using an 8BBL plant in the cellar of the The Griffin Inn. On 21st November 2007 the pub and brewing side of the business was sold to to Pennine Ales.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
