History
Initially based at the Melvich Hotel, Melvich near Thurso, this isolated hotel started brewing in Spring 1998 on a 1BBL plant. A new 2BBL plant was acquired from the Evening Star location of Dark Star Brewing Co. Ltd in the early part of 2002. Brewing was suspended during Summer 2007 following the sale of the hotel, but restarted at its current location in 2008. Brewing ceased completely in 2009.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
