History
Opened in September 1999, following the closure of Maclay Group plc, to produce beers for what became a pub company as well as their own brands. They also started brewing the bottled beers for Craigmill Brewery. Towards the end of 2003, Craigmill Brewery took over the plant and it became Williams Brothers Brewing Company.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
