This pub, formerly home to Lowes Arms Brewery and Dane Town Brewery, restarted brewing in Autumn 2016 as Westwood Brewery. Brewing was suspended by the end of 2017 and never restarted.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
