History
Brewing commenced after a refurbishment of The Star pub in Spring 1992. A 9BBL plant was used. Following much success, a sister, the The Tipsy Toad Townhouse and Brewery opened in 1994. The original brewers left in 1996 to set up Skinner's Brewing Co Limited and soon after the brewery was taken over by Ann Street Brewery Co Ltd. The plant was removed at the end of June 2004 and relocated to form The Liberation Brewery.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
