History
Following the takeover of Hornbeam Brewery in 2017 and a rebranding the brewery operated for about a year before selling the plant to The Tweed Brewing Company. The brewery was planning a move to Bolton, but nothing transpired.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
