History
Beers, brewed on a small test plant, appeared from this brewery during June 2001. However planning permission for a decent sized brewery was refused. Moved to share a new plant in Buntingford, Hertfordshire in September 2001 with Banfield Ales. The new brewery goes under the name of Buntingford Brewery, but Woodlands beers are brewed here as well. The name ceased to be used in July 2002 when the brewery started to concentrate on the Buntingford name.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
