History
The brewery was launched at Scunthorpe Beer Festival in September 2001. The 5BBL plant was sourced from Belgium. The name of the brewery reflected "the faint hope that money might be made out of the venture"! Brewing was suspended during October 2002 due to family problems.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
