History
John Eastwood started brewing at Commercial Mill, Saville Street, Milnsbridge, Huddersfield in April 1993. In September 1994 he had to stop brewing while alternative premises were found. For a short period in 1996, the beers were produced at the home of the Black Horse Brewery in Halifax. By the end of 1996, the brewery was installed at the above address and brewing recommenced. In September 1997 brewing once more stopped as John became manager of the Barge & Barrel Brewing Company and moved the brewery there.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all areas possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the counties for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
