History
Brewing started in 1984 using the owner's name Bunces Brewery. The initial 10BBL plant was located in a listed building that was an electricity generating station. The brewery was sold to new owners in 1993, who increased the capacity of the plant to 20BBL and changed the name to its current version.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
