History
Brewing started in May 1990 on a 4BBL plant in outbuildings by the car park of the Masons Arms, after which the brewery was originally called. In 1997 the brewer left to concentrate on his own venture, Lakeland Brewing Company, and the name changed to the current Strawberry Bank. Ceased brewing towards the end of 1999 but re-started during 2000 on an occasional basis brewing just one beer. However brewing ceased completely later in 2000.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
