History
Briscoe's started brewing on 1st November 1998 on a home made 1BBL plant in the cellar of the brewer's home. During March 2000 a new 3BBL plant was opened at the rear of the Bowling Green, 18 Bondgate, Otley. Both plants were used for a period, however brewing at the Bowling Green ceased during the early part of 2003.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
