History
This pub brewed from its opening until 1959. It restarted brewing in May 1995 using a new 3BBL plant. Brewing ceased when the pub was taken over by Bathams in 1997 although a small quantity of beer was brewed there in 1998.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
