History
Started brewing in September 1994 in a converted barn. The 18BBL plant was acquired from Butcombe Brewery Ltd. Brewing ceased in Spring 2024 although some of the beers may continue to be brewed by Cheddar Ales.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
