History
Started brewing in the late Summer 1998. Closed in late 1999 due to the redevelopment of the site. The brewery reopened in January 2000 under new ownership as a temporary site for the The Burton Old Cottage Beer Company Ltd. The plant was sold to Falstaff Brewery.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
