History
Originally founded in 1899, this brewery became part of the Bass Brewers empire in 1927. It continued trading as a separate entity within the group until 1967 when brewing ceased. Since then the brand has been brewed at a number of Bass-owned plants including Cardiff and Burton. By 2002 it was being brewed by Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) Limited at their Burton plant. Brewing moved to Blewitts Brewery although Worthington White Shield is brewed by Heritage Brewing Company.
