History
Brewery, initially named Red Lion Ales and based at The Red Lion, 73 Dewsbury Road, Ossett, WF5 9NQ, launched 9th April 2002 using a home built 5BBL plant. At the end of 2008, the brewery relocated to its current address and started to use the name The Healey Brewery. The brewery ceased production in early 2016, the site being taken over by Horbury Ales.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
