History
Starting brewing in November 1984, this operation mixed brewing and baking. It was sited in the Red Lion pub, which was renamed and owned by Halls. The brewery closed in 1989. The plant was sold to Kelham Island.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
