History
Brewing commenced in January 1983, but brewing ceased in October of the same year. Under new ownership, it restarted in February 1984 and was taken over in October 1985 and merged with Royal Tunbridge Wells Brewery to form Kentish Ales.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
