History
Opened August 2000. The 5BBL plant which was installed by Mike Askey of Bitter End at Cockermouth, having been supplied via Sutton Brewery, was visible through a glass wall from the coffee shop of the campus, and was part of the Summerlands Project of the college, which includes product development as well as straight training. Brewing was suspended in Autumn 2004. The site restarted brewing in Autumn 2011 as Plymouth Beer Company.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries. The links we provide cover all areas possibilities: Ceremonial Counties which are the counties for which a Lord-Lieutenant has been appointed, Historic Counties (and their allied county boroughs) which represent the position before the 1974 re-organisation and Local Authority which represents the third tear District level.
