History
Dating back to the merger of Mitchell's and Butlers breweries in 1898, this was one of the largest cask breweries in the UK. It merged with Bass in 1961. Following a couple of takeovers, and now under the ownership of Coors Brewers, it was announced that this brewery was to close by the end of 2002 with production switched to Burton. In 2011 a series of fruit flavoured beers were produced, reportedly at Hydes.
Beers Brewed
We do not maintain a list of beers brewed by each brewery. There may be a list on the brewery's own website. For historical information, we suggest you also visit the brewery page on the unfortunately no longer updated Beermad.
