History
This brewery started brewing in 1864 as Walker's of Warrington with brewing moving to Dallam Lane two years later. Merged in 1921 with Robert Cains. In 1960 it merged with Joshua Tetley. In 1961 they merged with Ansells and Ind Coope to form Allied Breweries. The brewery shut in 1996 with the brands being transferred to Allied's, by then Carlsberg-Tetley, Leeds and Burton plants.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
