History
Following the sale of The Red Cow, home of Harpenden Brewery, in 1997, the 2BBL plant was moved to behind the Farmers Boy pub in St Albans. Brewing restarted at the new location in March 1997. Following the sale of the brewery in early 2006, the brewery reopened as Alehouse Brewery;. In 2010 the brewery resorted back to its original guise. Brewing was suspended in 2015 and never restarted.

Since the 1974 local government reorganisation there has been much controversy over many county boundaries.
