History
Founded in 1798, they were acquired by Strong & Co soon after World War II. The brewery was closed in 1991, by which time it was owned by Whitbread, and production was transferred to Flowers. Production was then contracted out to McMullen before being transferred to Castle Eden. Brewing under this brand ceased in about 1997.
